Project Bag

These Busy Bags are the perfect way to keep your kids occupied while at an older sibling’s sports game, waiting in lines, at restaurant, or waiting in the doctor’s office.  It is a pack filled with 6 quart bags.  Inside those you can put crayons, markets, stickers, wiki stix, little books, puzzles, etc.  it is the perfect go-to bag to have filled whenever you have time to fill in your kid’s day.  And this is a really easy beginning sewing project.

Supplies:

6 durable quart sized baggies (freezer bags are more durable)
21 inches of webbing (for handle and Velcro closure)
½” wide Velcro x 2” long (I think I used ¾” or even 1” Velcro, as long as it is not any wider than your webbing)
2 fat quarters
Fusible fleece or batting (enough for a piece 8 ½” x 20”)

For class cut 2 pieces from your fat quarters measuring 8 ½” x 20” and one piece of fusible fleece/batting that measures 7 ½” x 19 ½”
