Learn the Ragtime technique by making a throw size quilt using one Layer cake or yardage and either flannel or denim. We will go through the process of layering then sewing squares together. Later you will cut to create the fringe for the exposed seam allowance. A lite lunch will be provided. Supplies needed: 30) 10”x10” cotton squares & 30) 10”x10” denim or flannel squares, Basic sewing kit, and quality hand scissors. Batting fee of $5 has been added to the class fee.

New to sewing or in need of a good refresher? Join others and learn the parts of your sewing machine, how to thread and wind a bobbin, straight stitch and good practices while sewing. You will work on a tube-style pillow case as your final project (1 yard main printed fabric; 1/3 yard of complementing fabric, sewing machine, thread, snips, rotary cutter and mat). *Ages 9-14 accompanied by an adult.

Come join us as we make this fun pattern that uses a MINI charm pack (2.5”x2.5” squares) and 2 background fabrics to create a fabric storage bin. We will make the large bin but you will have enough left over material to make the small as well. Pattern fee is added into the cost of the class.

Thursday - Sunday, March 19-22, 2026 at Maryvale Retreat Center just outside of Valley City, ND. Pricing includes lodging and meals. You can choose when you want to arrive, and when you want to leave should your schedule only allow you to attend for a couple days rather than all. There is a Wednesday, March 18th after 1pm option as well for early-birds. Cost is $80 per night per person plus a registration fee of $30. (example: Thursday-Sunday would be 3 nights at $80 = $240 + $30 registration = $270) Because we are so close to the retreat date, full payment is required and we have a limit of 25 people to attend this year. You will be invoiced and can pay online through the online portal with the invoice or Paypal or send a check to the store.
